Sustainability/Environmental Statement:

The Sherbrooke Castle Hotel recognises its responsibility towards the environment and complies with all current and future legislation in this field.

We are committed to minimising the impact of our operations on the environment and have in recent times introduced the following policies and operations in the hotel:

In 2016, our heating system was updated and replaced by a Biomass system. This means that we now use renewable energy sources to heat the hotel. We produce a surplus of energy which we feed back to the national grid.

Recycling of most materials that leave the hotel. Food waste, mixed recyclables, glass and plastics are all separated and recycled.

Energy saving practices throughout the hotel such as LED lighting, key activated bedroom lighting and motion sensitive corridor and public area lighting.

Environmentally friendly cleaning supplies and equipment. No bleach based chemicals used.

A priority towards ethical and Fairtrade suppliers. Local suppliers always used where possible to minimise delivery footprints.

Recently installed energy efficient air conditioning units in our function areas.

We are constantly on the lookout for new practices which we can implement to further improve our ecological footprint.

Accessibility Statement:

We wish to make Sherbrooke Castle Hotel an accessible property for all guests to enjoy.

Our main castle bedrooms are all located on the 1st floor or higher and with the historical grading of the property, we do not have a lift facility. We do however have rooms in our cottage building that are on ground level.

All our public areas; restaurant, ballroom, conservatory, bar and reception are on ground level and can be easily accessed via a ramp. We have accessible car park spaces to both the front and rear of the hotel. Both close to the nearest entrances and to the accessible bedroom. We have an accessible toilet facility located in our public areas which is accessible to all guests.
